A Photographic Journey through Iceland's Same-sex Weddings
By Wedeqtory Directory - Posted on Saturday, July 22, 2017Marriage Equality has now reached 24 countries and although Australia is so far behind the eight ball it's absolutely jaw dropping to us, and most tourists who visit our beautiful country, we thought it's time to celebrate some really inspiring same-sex wedding images from countries where same-sex marriage is legal.
This is not meant to be a slap in the face to us Aussies, rather, an inspirational post on what is yet to come. I know it's a little depressing at times because we are not legally equal to our heterosexual counterparts, but use these images to think about how you could imagine and ultimately, plan, your wedding. Finally, use these images to work out what type of photographic genre you would love to capture your special day.

Same-sex marriage became legal in Iceland on 27 June 2010 and a bill providing for a gender-neutral marriage definition was passed by the Icelandic Althing on 11 June 2010. I just want to mention that no members of Parliament voted against the bill and public opinion polls suggest that the bill is very popular in Iceland.
Perhaps we could take a leaf out of their book? ;-)
